The Atlantic Council "Millennium Leadership Project"

Here is information on another exciting opportunity from the English Language Office:

We are excited announce that the Atlantic Council is now accepting applications for the Millennium Fellowship, our new flagship initiative to connect exceptional rising leaders around the world who share the Council's passion for building a secure and prosperous future. Through this two-year program, fellows will have unique opportunities to build a global network of peers, engage with world leaders at high-profile international events, develop key professional skills, and collaborate to develop global impact projects with support from the Atlantic Council.

The fellowship is open to rising leaders from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and North America who are 35 years old and under, with an application deadline of March 1, 2015. Ideal applicants will bring an entrepreneurial spirit, character to lead and inspire, positive vision for the future, and a passion for shaping the world. Candidates may come from a range of professional backgrounds that have a nexus to the Council's work of renewing global leadership, including, policy experts, journalists, elected officials, military personnel, academics, entrepreneurs, executives, community and cultural leaders, non-profit and civil society experts, and senior government officials.

In 2015, the Millennium Leadership Program will convene fellows alongside the Council's Distinguished Leadership Awards dinner in Washington, DC this April and the Istanbul Energy and Economic Summit in Turkey this November. As two of the Atlantic Council's premier annual events, the Distinguished Leadership Awards dinner and Istanbul Summit bring together current and former heads of state and government, senior ministers and diplomats, military commanders, international media, and global business leaders. This year's Distinguished Leadership Awards dinner will honor President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani; Commander of US European Command General Philip M. Breedlove; Chairman, President, and CEO of Lockheed Martin Corporation Marillyn A. Hewson; and Country music legend Toby Keith. Fellows will also participate in a weeklong trip alongside each event, including meetings with top policy experts and an executive retreat.

We encourage you to apply here for the Millennium Fellowship, and share this announcement with rising leaders you know who may be interested. Please reach out to us at millennium@atlanticcouncil.org with any questions about this unique opportunity.

Sincerely,

Jonathan
